Laura's Mid-Month Challenge

Laura, the M2R featured diva of the month, has come up with an exciting challenge for you this month...

Now that everyone's settled in to 2008, it's time for a challenge! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make a page about yourself. This page should either reflect on the you of 2007 or focus on your goal(s)/resolutions for 2008. Or, even better, do both! Everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing for a RAK from me (I'm doing some major purging, so you'll get some good stuff!). Thanks for playing along!

January Design Team Challenges!

We've decided to change things up a bit here at M2R so instead of hosting TT challenges, we will now have two challenges a month that will be issued by our fabulous design team. You will have the entire month to complete them! Click HERE to visit the "Design Team Challenge" thread for January on the M2R messageboard. This month our two challenges are hosted by Valerie and Alicia. Check them out below!

Valerie's January Challenge...

My challenge is based on the 3 Things Challenges that I used to host here at M2R. For your layout, you will need to show these three things on your layout:

1. Scalloped Paper (I used the scalloped paper in the Jan. kit!)
2. Felt (I used a K&Co Felt Butterlfy)
3. Something Old (this has to be an older scrapbooking supply...I used the MM Foam Stamps)

You have until the end of January to complete this challenge. Everyone who has completed the challenge will get their name put in a hat...the more layouts you do that go along with this challenge, the more times your name will go in the hat. At the end of the month, I will draw a name and that person will win a RAK from me!!!! Please post your layout in the M2R gallery and link it back to this thread!!






















Alicia's January Challenge...

Seeing that we have a New Year starting how about a little Last-Year-Fun-Challenge!!

1. A year in review of photos!! Print your photos on cardstock, not photo paper. And at least 4 or more photos!!

2. Use products you already have on hand from last year!! That away you can make a bit more room for all those new goodies that are going to be coming out in the new year!

3. Chipboard!! Chipboard!! Chipboard!! As much as you like!!

You have until the end of January to complete this challenge. Everyone who has completed the challenge will get their name put in a hat...the more layouts you do that go along with this challenge, the more times your name will go in the hat. At the end of the month, I will draw a name and that person will win a RAK from me!!!!

January Featured Scrapper!

Congrats to Laura! She is our featured scrapper for the month of January!! :-)

Hi, my name is Laura, and I live near Atlanta, Georgia with my dog, Lila, and cat, Sampson. My pets are two of my favorite scrapping subjects. The other star of my pages is my 2-year-old niece who is the cutest and smartest kiddo ever! I’ve been scrapping since the fall of 2005, but have been an “artsy craftsy” person since childhood, always making a mess with some kind of project or creation. These days I would describe my scrapping style as Simple (in a Stacy Julian sort of way being my goal), Real and Well Journaled. I think it’s so important that scrapbook pages really tell our stories as well as show off the latest product. My day job is as an art therapist, so I love to inspire others to use art materials, including scrapbooking, to express themselves. I’m so excited to be the Featured Scrapper and can’t wait to continue to get to know all the members of our community better!

There's been lots going on...

"If you have a die cut machine and some empty embellishment plastic pkgs, you can make your own "ghost shapes". The possibilities are endless!! Use the hard clear plastic part of the packaging. and run it through your machine! You can also ink the edges, add glitter to the edges, trace around the shape, or add patterned paper under the shape."
